Victoria County CAD Important Deadlines

  • January 1
    Marks the date that determines taxable value and homestead status. Over-65 or disability homestead exemption applications may be filed the year the applicant turns 65 or meets Social Security disability requirements.
  • January 31
    Last day to pay prior year property taxes without penalty or interest. If the deadline falls on a weekend or holiday, it automatically extends to the next business day.
  • April 1
    Rendition Deadline – Final day for business property owners to file renditions or request an extension.
  •  April 30
    Last day to apply for most exemptions, including agricultural, timber, or wildlife productivity appraisal.
  •  May 15
    Victoria County Property Tax Protest Deadline – Last day to file written protests with the appraisal review board (or by the 30th day after the notice of appraised value is mailed, whichever is later).
  • October
    Tax bills by Victoria County CAD are generally mailed during this month.
